Our services…

To meet the needs of our diverse community, we offer a variety of support services including 1-2-1’s, classes and peer support groups.

12 Session Programmes…

Following an initial assessment, our clinic will develop a tailor-made plan for you. Your plan will be regularly appraised with a review after week 5. Ultimately you are in charge of your success, and so we will only recommend and implement changes in collaboration with you. Your progress will be rigorously monitored to clearly show your accomplishments! Making sure that YOU are at the centre of our care. The care will be delivered across a three to six-month period, but the effects will be long term. On completion we can support you with long-term self-management, ‘reconnect’ sessions, should you choose.

Reflective Journal

Once you have decided to take part in one of the 12-session programmes you will be provided with a reflective journal. This journal is a 30+ page book, available as a hard copy or an e-book, to guide you through your tailor-made plan. The guided reflections will enable you to see your mental and physical progress throughout the 12 sessions. The journal is a unique personal space, providing exercises to consolidate your thoughts and explore the why, when and how of your feelings.

Support for chronic conditions…

Torus Wellbeing CIC is interested in supporting the local community in conditions inadequately supported by mainstream NHS:

  • Fibromyalgia
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Tinnitus
  • Pain Management

Functional Tests

Functional tests may be recommended to identify a biochemical imbalance and enable a more targeted and individualised nutrition programme to be devised. Should you decide to proceed with these they will carry an additional charge. Interpretation of tests is included in the consultation service.

Examples of tests on offer:

Gut health and microbiome stool test to provide a comprehensive analysis of the GI ecosystem and chronic disease-related microbial (bacteria, yeast, parasites) markers, which are backed by the clinical literature, alongside host health markers.

Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth breath test. The breath test measures hydrogen and methane gases produced by intestinal bacteria.

Adrenal stress profile – timed salivary samples provide an insight into the body’s cortisol rhythm.

Organic acids test – a non-invasive analysis of key nutritional biomarkers, need for antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and digestive support.

Tick Borne Diseases

Do you have a complex symptomology and despite blood tests from your GP you are not getting to the bottom of your symptoms?  In some cases, symptoms can have origins in ticks, parasites, yeasts, or moulds.  We can arrange tests for multiple tick-borne diseases such as Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme Disease) and Candida albican.

Book an Initial Assessment

Book an initial assessment to help us get to know each other, to determine your needs, and develop a proposed plan for your approval.   These 1.5-hour sessions are to be paid for in advance and do not make up part of the 12 session programmes.  When possible, these assessments are carried out by Dr Nicola Brough (PhD).

If you would like to support other members of your community, why don’t you “pay it forward”– pay for an extra service so that someone who may not be able to afford one can gain the same beneficial support that you have come to love.
