Funded courses

Here at Torus Wellbeing CIC, we have a vision that we will be able to offer the highest quality services to as many people as we can, within our community. We have seen the benefits of offering funded classes that combine our specialities to introduce complementary and integrative approaches to health and wellbeing. In the future we hope to gain the resources to offer many more part and fully funded services to members of our community.

2 fully funded courses now available:

Long-COVID Road to Recovery Support

There is currently no long covid support on offer by the NHS in Staffordshire.  Torus Wellbeing CIC recognise that those who are struggling with the after-effects of COVID-19 have different needs.

We will offer an initial assessment (1.5 hours in duration) to determine how we can best suit your needs and up to 4 1-2-1 sessions (1 hour in duration) and/or a referral to our 4-week course (group) once the 1-2-1 sessions are complete.

The aim of our 4-week course is to support those with long-COVID to tackle the aftereffects of the virus, helping them to move forward to improve health and wellbeing.  Participants will be encouraged to become more active and learn new skills. Targeting both physical and mental wellbeing.

Our sessions will help to bring people together to share experiences and explore the difficulties and changes to quality of life since diagnosis.

This fully funded course and sessions have been made possible via The National Lottery Community Fund.  People must live in Staffordshire to be eligible for our services.

Courses will be held on Tuesday Mornings 10am – 11.30am. Venue: Vary.

Dates:

7th – 28th September inclusive

2nd – 23rd November inclusive

Torus Together Active Course

Our 4-week online course has been developed to encourage mindful movement, increase fitness, emotional resilience and reduce social isolation.  The course includes meditation, Qi-gong, seated yoga and toning exercises.

This course has now come to an end.

We have loved offering this course to our community and seeing the benefits it has had for so many! These sessions give people the opportunity to take some time for themselves, slow down, make new connections and learn some new skills.

“Great session this morning, my back has eased following the yoga practice, which is great!”

“Enjoyed today and certainly have missed Qigong! Slept for 3 hours afterwards. Thank you!”

“Brilliant session really slowed me down. Had to rest a bit and was also very hungry!! Perked up again now, very different to last week!”

“First time I’ve really done yoga. Really enjoyed it. Right hip complained a little but it eased as I did more.”
