Torus Wellbeing CIC
Helping people to feel good and function well
Torus Wellbeing CIC is a non-profit organisation, formed in response to the demand for complementary health services by members of the local community.
With our community space based in Shelton, Torus Wellbeing CIC holds the local community at the centre of all activities.
A space to maintain health and foster wellbeing within the individual and amongst our local community.
Our mission is to support members of the local community in Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and surrounding (Staffordshire) areas who are experiencing poor mental and physical health which impacts their daily lives. Through education, inner exploration and guidance we aim to balance body and mind to promote good emotional, physical and mental health, enabling wellbeing using complementary and integrative approaches.
Social prescribing, is part of the Comprehensive Model of Personalised Care, and connects people with a wide range of community-based activities and support. It helps people to improve their health and wellbeing, based on “what matters to me” conversations and a personalised care and support plan developed between the social prescribing link worker and the person they are working with.
Most GP surgeries have a Social Prescribing link worker. Ask your link worker for a referral to our service. We will offer part-or fully funded services when funding allows. https://www.england.nhs.uk/ltphimenu/personalised-care/social-prescribing/
Are you a GP social prescriber looking for services to support your patients? Add your details to our contacts list to receive updates when our part or fully funded services are available.
